Must Have Items {Baby Number Two}.

Although I recently admitted we clearly are not on the Baby Three train, I'm assuming several of my readers may in fact be on the Baby Two train, that we did hop on. In fact it seems many bloggers I read are expecting their second little bundle of joy.

Here's a set of items that we've found very useful around our house after welcoming Simon into our home, as our beloved little Baby Two.

Click the pictures for links to the individual items, along with a few bits from me about each item.

Baby Number Two {Must Haves}

First of all, you'll notice the cute little plush baby. We don't have this exact one, but what's important is that you get one for the big brother or sister. Bonus points if your firstborn can really change his or her diaper. And, if the doll comes with a removable pacifier? Triple bonus points for you.

Next up you're going to need a double stroller. I love the one we ended up purchasing, which is pictured above. The seats can go facing each other, both facing away, both facing mom, and an assortment of other options as well. It also fits an infant carrier (we have a Chicco that it fit splendidly), and has oodles and oodles of space for shopping loot underneath the babes. I unrealistically wanted this stroller but settled for this economical (yet comparable) option instead.

The cutesy little high chair is a necessary object. Peter had a guy build  a sweet wooden one for Kirsten, but this pink one is great too. My brother-in-law also built Kirsten an adorable crib for her birthday, which I'd recommend getting as well. The little changing "kit" would be fun too, or you could totally just put things together on your own. I'm pretty sure you won't be the only one who will want to be changing diapers once the new little bundle arrives.

The Moby. Oh, the Moby. Make sure you have one of these, if you didn't with your first, you'll definitely want one now. When Baby Two is fussy or just needs a nap, but the toddler is hungry and just needs a meal? This is your key to pleasing everyone. Wouldn't hurt to get a sweet little baby carrier for big sister or big brother as well. Though at our house we have been known to use Mommy's sweatpants to create a Toddler Moby.

Lastly, I included our convertible car seats. When we bought one for Kirsten a couple years ago I knew I wanted to get one that we could eventually buy a coordinating seat for a future sibling, whenever that time came. Well, the time came, and Santa brought Simon a black one. I love them. They recline. Reclined toddlers and babies enjoy sleeping more on long trips. End of story (plus they have great safety ratings).

Now I'm asking you, what other items do you love having for two kiddos?  Please share any suggestions in the comments so we can all enjoy the advice!

Oh, and if you read all the way to this point, then CONGRATS on Baby Two!

great list! we have the single version of that stroller and I love it. since our first child is older, we went with a sit n stand for this time around rather than a full double - hoping that we'll be happy with our choice.
